Red Wagon is at 5416 Penn Ave S in South Minneapolis, eight blocks east of the Edina line and about five minutes from 50th & France.

We're not in Edina. We're close enough that most of our regulars are.

Getting here

From 50th & France: east on 50th, right on Penn, four blocks south. About five minutes.

From Country Club and Morningside (55424): straight over on 50th or 54th. Under ten minutes.

From Interlachen and west Edina (55436): France Ave to 50th, then east. Fifteen minutes.

From Southdale: north on France, right on 54th.

Street parking on Penn and the side streets. And we have a parking to the south of our building too.

What we are

A scratch kitchen. The dough is made here every morning with locally milled heritage wheat. The pasta is made here. The pizza goes into a wood-fired oven and comes out in about ninety seconds.

Thirty-six beers on tap, wine, cocktails, and zero-proof options worth ordering.

We've been on the Food Network's Diners, Drive-ins and Dives twice, and voted Best Pizza, Best Beer Bar and Best Kid-Friendly Restaurant by Mpls-St. Paul Magazine and City Pages.

Why people come over from Edina

Weeknight dinner that doesn't require a plan. Kids eat, adults eat well, nobody negotiates.

The patio. It fills the second it gets warm. Dogs welcome.

Private events. The Brookside is our private dining room. Rehearsal dinners, holiday parties, birthdays, corporate dinners. Closer than downtown and easier to park at than 50th & France.

Catering that comes to you. The mobile wood-fired trailer works backyards, graduation parties and company events across Edina and the southwest metro. Fifty to five hundred people.

Friday through Sunday, 11am to 9pm.
